Joshua Cartwright has been in ministry for most of his life. The son of a United Methodist pastor, Josh grew up in the church. After graduating from high school, Josh forged his own path as a filmmaker, creating a short children’s film called “Lemonopolis,” which went on to win a Student Emmy Award. After attending and graduating from Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts, Josh felt a call to ministry. While attending Wesley Theological Seminary, Josh served as pastor of two small churches in rural Pennsylvania. After serving as pastor for two years, Josh felt called to shepherd those who were dying and their families, and became a hospice chaplain. Josh met his wife, Jazmin Nixon Cartwright, online while serving as pastor. Josh enjoys both playing and watching sports, particularly Florida State football, tennis, and golf. He is also passionate about the arts, writing and performing poetry in addition to making films. Josh aims to use his ministry gifts and calling to share the love of Christ with everyone he encounters.
