Downtown Daily Bread
for those desiring to serve the homeless
Downtown Daily Bread serves the hungry and homeless of Harrisburg, providing a hot lunch, served daily from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Baughman UMC serves on the last two Tuesdays of the odd months of the year and on the 5th Tuesday of the month. Volunteers car pool from the church. There is no heavy lifting required. Four to five volunteers are needed each time we serve.
Ecumenical Food Pantry

For four decades, the mission of the Ecumenical Food Pantry has been to provide food to help meet the emergency needs of people in the greater Harrisburg area. In addition to collecting personal hygiene and nonperishable food items, volunteers serve at the food bank on the 3rd Friday of every month and the 5th Monday when that occurs. providing safe, beautiful, and long-lasting alternatives
Around the world, girls and women resort to using rags, mattress stuffing, banana leaves, feathers, and even cow dung to manage their menstruation. At Baughman UMC we provide the materials and you help by sewing washable alternatives that girls can count on month after month. Together, we are creating a world with dignity, health, and opportunity for all.
