Welcome! Baughman UMC serves residents of Harrisburg’s West & East Shore (New Cumberland, Lemoyne, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, & Harrisburg). We are a United Methodist Church committed to sharing the Love of God, the power of Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit!
Saturday evening @ 6:15pm (Sanctuary)
Saturday we offer a lovely service for those who enjoy the coziness of a small country church. Saturday night’s worship is softer and calmer than most. Music is provided by the piano, with simple hymns, and the warmth of easy fellowship after the service.
WE ARE CURRENTLY IN SUMMER HOURS SO OUR SERVICE TIMES HAVE CHANGED TEMPORARILY:
Sunday mornings we have 2 services:
9am Contemporary Service (Monroe Room)
10:15am Traditional Service (Sanctuary)
WE WILL RETURN TO NORMAL HOURS ON 8/21/16.
Sunday morning @ 8:30am (Sanctuary)
Sunday’s 8:30am service is simple, traditional worship for those who like to get an early start. Our organist leads us in the great hymns of the faith (Amazing Grace, Be Thou My Vision, How Great Thou Art…), and the message is straight from the Bible.
Sunday morning @ 9:30am (Gym)
9:30’s service is electric, and begins with praise and worship. Our worship team’s desire is to lead you into the Lord’s presence so you might enjoy a “God moment”. The team plays music from Chris Tomlin and Hill Song to Matt Redman and other contemporary Christian artists. The music is followed by Biblical preaching with a clear application for your day to day life.
Sunday morning @ 11:00am (Sanctuary)
Sunday’s 11:00am choir processes into the sanctuary leading the opening hymn to start the service. The ancient prayers and creeds of the faith are celebrated. A children’s message is offered for kids (4yrs–10yrs) after which the children are excused for Kid’s Church. The preaching is Biblical and passionate. It is a worship service that honors the past, addresses the present, and sheds light and hope for the future.
